Curriculum vitae

Working in a variety of projects, exploring the use of code as a design material. We build visual systems, tools, web experiences and installations. I've specifically been involved in mainly the building and development of these projects through code (JavaScript, Node, React, p5.js, etc...), and also desiging visual systems.

Information Visualization Course (aug 2020 - dic 2021)

Students learn a visualization design framework and also learn to build them through code (D3.js). This course was taught spanish, and it was composed of over 100 students each semester. You can check out the course syllabi here: 2020-2, 2021-2.

Advanced Programming Course (mar 2019 - jul 2020)

Students learn multiple programming topics such as OOP, multithreading, GUIs, networking throught sockets and more through programming challenges using Python. This course was taught spanish, and it was composed of over 100 students each semester.

Early in my computer science studies I partnered with Juan Reutter and Cristian Riveros, both Computer Science professors and PhDs, to do research work in different topics. For the first project I got involved I developed a visualization tool that showed meta data of RDF graph databases. After that, I assisted in computational complexity analysis of problems in document spanners and validation of SHACL schemas. I was involved in two publications that were also presented in conferences.

I participated in the development of a remote monitoring application for self cleaning solar plants. The technologies we use are Electron, React and Redux. As well as in the development of Visualization tools for a property broker company.

I developed two visualization platforms. Worked with a small designing team on costume visualizations about the innovation ecosystem in Chile, using D3.js and Vue.

Thesis: The Expressiveness of SHACL and a Tractable Language Fragment Proposal
